The secret tub

I hopped into the tub after dinner for a bath last night. When I hopped in the  bath, the shower curtain drifted in the bath tub with me. The tap turned around and started to fill up the room. The bath tub started to lift up. I didn't know what I was going to do.

I decided to stay in the tub and see what was going to happen. Then a hole in the wall opened and the tub went through and started to go faster down a tunnel. A bit of light appeared. It was like looking into the sun. WOW! There was sealife, turtles and the bright blue clear sky. This is not what normally happens. This must be magic.

I was thinking why am I still dry, even though there was water in the bath. How could I not be wet? Is this what I am thinking or is this magic?

Now there was more sea life including fish, sea otters and all the sea animals you could imagine. I was wondering if I will see a dolphin?

I had turned the tap off on the bathtub. The bathtub sped along the flat surface of the water. My eyes were searching for a dolphin because I wanted to ride on one.

Look there is a dolphin! My eyes were wide open. This is so exciting!

What could happen tomorrow with my secret bathtub? Will the secret bathtub do the same thing tomorrow? Will the bath tub take me somewhere else? The water smells like salt, how can I smell salt??

I shut my eyes and then opened them again it was still the same. What could be going on? “This must me a dream,” I said to myself.  But this was not a dream!

“How would I get home?”
“What if I can't get home?”
“What if I'm cold? “
“What if I have no friends?”
“What if I'm hungry?”

All these questions I had thought of well I was on my trip with my secret bathtub.

When I woke up I was sitting in the hospital bed with Mum, Dad, George and the nurse standing over my asking if I was ok. “What do you mean?” I said to everybody. Mum told me what had happened to me.

Mum said that I was drowning in the bath. “Was I in the bath?” I asked in confusion.
“Yes you were.”
“Was I wet?”
“Yes you were.” Mum looked happy that I was OK.

As I walked slowly out of the hospital Mum said, “I love you Rebecca.”
“I love you too Mum.”
